Important Race Update
The 2020 Santa Monica Classic will take place on September 13, 2020.
With the health and safety of our athletes, our community and our team in mind, we are excited to announce that the 2020 Santa Monica Classic will now be a virtual race. The 2020 Santa Monica Classic will be unlike any virtual race in the world. On top of the ASICS t-shirt, the exclusive official medal, and the sponsor products you will receive with your registration, athletes have the chance to be a part of unique live virtual coverage to be streamed through the Los Angeles Marathon and Santa Monica Classic Facebook pages.
Over the next month we will release the much anticipated official medal design, the ASICS t-shirt, and details on how you too can be part of a live stream like no other. Live from Los Angeles to Boston and around the world to London, Sydney and back to the famous Santa Monica Pier on the shores of the Pacific, this year’s Santa Monica Classic promises to set new standards. Plus don’t miss a whole array of big announcements in the coming weeks as part of keeping your running dreams alive. The countdown to the 2021 Los Angeles Marathon is about to begin…. join in the journey.
In lieu of a Finish Festival held at the Santa Monica pier, a Virtual Expo will be available for participants, friends, or families to connect and celebrate anywhere from around the world.
Beginning on September 10, join us for our first-ever interactive virtual expo featuring special SMC deals, clinics with running experts, a live streamed DJ performance, and more.
Athletes can submit their time on a submission form that will be available from September 9, 2020. The official participation window is September 9 - December 31, 2020.
