2009 Los Angeles Marathon Registration

General Registration Information

There is NO race day regsistration
All bibs, timing strips, T-shirts and goodie bags must be claimed at the Quality of Life Expo PRIOR to race day.
NO bibs, timing strips, T-shirts, etc. will be mailed
Entries dated prior to Febryary 15 will receive a confirmation card only if registered by regular mail.
To claim your bib, timing strip, T-shirt, and goodie bag you must bring your Marathon confirmation card or confirmation email for online entries with proper I.D. to the Quality of Life Expo in the L.A. Convention Center
Bibs are not transferable

Race-walkers

Race walkers is an option for those who follow the strict rules of racewalking. Regular walkers please select option of runner/walker

Late Registration

Before August 6th, entry fees are $95
From August 7th until November 19th, entry fees are $100From November 20th until February 24th, entry fees are $105
During the Quality of Life Expo marathon entry fees are $115
Online registration available until February 24, 2009 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time

BIB

In 2003, the Los Angeles Marathon became the first race in the U.S. to add participants names to their bibs. In 2009, we will once again allow participants to write in your legal name or your nickname. This will be the name printed on your bib. We reserve the right to edit any name. To have your name on your bib you must register by December 31, 2008

Qualifying for Sub 3 or 4 corrals:

Runners who have finished a marathon in under 3 or 4 hours in the previous 12 months will be eligible for seeding in corrals designed for our faster participants
To qualify for these corrals, a copy of a finisher's certificate or official results from a sanctioned and certified marathon must be mailed or faxed with your application within one week of registering to:

DEADLINE: January 31st 2009

Runners who finished the 2008 Los Angeles Marathon in under 4 hours will automatically be placed in the proper corral and do not need to submit proof. However, it will be necessary for you to indicate your selection on your entry application to be included in a corral AND YOU MUST MEET THE JAN. 31, 2009 DEADLINE.
Your request for inclusion in these corrals must be received in our office by January 31, 2009.

Confirmation Postcards or Email

Entries received by February 15 will receive a confirmation card if registered by regular mail, or for online registration you will received a confirmation email.
